First Fridays at Storybook

The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii in Hanapepe is pleased to announce the first of their 'First Fridays at Storybook' performance art series hosted by Blu Dux and Renee Janton. The first event will be on Friday, October 5th (and every first Friday of the month through December) in the Peace Garden at Storybook Theatre.
Singer/songwriter, gardener, and activist Blu Dux composed 'Kalaheo Shuffle' and 'Lost Dog Blues' which were winning entries in the Kauai Mokihana Festival Composer's Concert & Contest. For October 5th's First Friday she will host and perform her original compositions and popular sing-along tunes inviting audience participation. She will be joined by Larry Heller on bass.
Musician, sacred sound healer, and facilitator of Kauai's 'Festival of Healing Harps', Renee Janton, will co-host and share her Celtic harp artistry and unity consciousness vibrations. Also appearing will be Brian Gorden with his 'funny but true' brand of comedy. A raffle and Open Mic will be offered as well.
The show will start at 7 P.M. and end at 9 P.M. Refreshments will be offered and Storybook's Celestial Tea Room will be open offering unique Chinese herb teas. The town of Hanapepe will be buzzing with it's 'Art Night' activities as well.
'First Fridays at Storybook' is a free / donation event.
